The practical course for children gives them the opportunity to get acquainted with the profession of a film actor, master acting skills and start acting in films. The learning process takes place through a game, and the little movie characters have goals and missions that they achieve during the school year.

The course aims to introduce students to the world of cinema, teach them to express their thoughts and control their emotions. During the training, real-life situations are modeled in which the child learns to express his or her thoughts and emotions, work in a team, and show his or her leadership skills.

Program.

Block 1

  • Getting to know yourself and the audience
  • Self-presentation – children learn to talk about themselves like real actors
  • Working in the frame. How to work on camera? What is an angle, a shot, and how do you know if the camera is working?
  • We learn not to be afraid of a large audience and prepare a public speech.
  • The basics of speech and breathing techniques; articulation, voice emotion, exercises on speech and diction.
  • Work with psychological clamps. Gaining relaxation.
  • Individual analysis and process of working on each part of the body.
  • Individual analysis of the student’s skills and abilities

Block #2

  • Hello, theater!
  • The basics of acting. The basics of acting ethics and education.
  • The actor: who he is and what he consists of.
  • Exercises and sketches to reveal organic, nature, actor’s attention.
  • Actor’s attention and imagination. The event. Action. Stage task. Conflict. Struggle. Emotions and feelings.
  • We learn to interact in a team
  • Preparing an acting show for parents and guests

Block 3

  • Who are you in the movies?
  • Getting acquainted with the main professions in cinema – producer, director, screenwriter, cameraman, actor.
  • Where do movies come from? Creating an idea, storytelling and script writing.
  • Small and big pitching of ideas. We gain experience in presenting ideas for our films orally.
  • We learn how to organize a film set, build a shot and set up the light.
  • We practice and shoot our first movie on our own.

Block 4

  • How to get the role of your dreams? Preparing for casting calls.
  • Presenting yourself, preparing for casting and auditions.
  • Principles of actor’s work in movies, work on the set, interaction with the director and fellow actors.
  • Who is a casting manager and where to find one?
  • We learn how to prepare for casting, work with text, emotions, and be able to understand your character correctly.

Block 5

  • Camera, motor! Filming a movie
  • Preparing to shoot a graduation film
  • We learn how to work as a department, assign roles and responsibilities.
  • Students choose props, conduct castings and get acquainted with the director’s script.
  • We learn how to organize a film set, adhering to our roles and maintaining silence during the shooting.
  • Together with our professors, we shoot our graduation film.
